Valentine’s Day is not lost on the single….not even in Los Angeles…..a difficult, if not treacherous place to try to have a monogamous relationship. What with all the young starlets and remodeled fashionistas at every yoga studio and coffee club, eye candy is not only more bountiful, but less caloric than in much of the rest of the country.  Well, there is some eye candy that even the most jaded can appreciate….gorgeous, yummy lingerie!

Last week I had the pleasure of co-hosting a Boudoir Event at Only Hearts on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica. Beautiful agave sweetened cakes sweetened washed dow with honey iced tea tickled our taste buds. Balloons from Balloons on Montana were celebratory and inviting. Props supplied by Z Gallerie, beautiful models, Claire and Lauren, as well as fabulous makeup artist, Christina Yi and hair stylist, Mitzi, provided more than enough fun for me to spend the entire day photographing an actual boudoir shoot using nothing more than the above and a chaise lounge. You can see some of the photos above with more to come soon, including some amazing before and afters!

The day was a smashing success as I displayed my books of photos, as well as boxed gift certificates that read, “For Your Eyes Only” on the front.

We are so excited to be presenting this exclusive Nico Moon Boudoir Valentine’s Event!  We have been invited to have models doing an actual boudoir photo shoot in store at “Only Hearts” a gorgeous lingerie and gift store on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica this February 9th, 2011 from 2-6 PM. Only Hearts has stores in New York and Italy, as well and an amazing selection of lingerie and gift items for everyone. (I even purchased a beautiful safe locker posing as an ornate book for my daughter’s boyfriend there!)  Tea and french pastries will be served by the brand new Dolce Vida on Montana and goodie bags with wonderful surprises will be given to the first 50 attendees!

I have been wanting to update my website for a long time, but the thought of going through all of my new photos and choosing just the right ones left me overwhelmed and unmotivated. But I finally did it! The new website – still at www.nicomoon.com showcases much of the work I’ve been doing in the last year. I hope you visit and enjoy it!

Of particular interest (to me) is the new editorial work. I’ve been experimenting quite a bit in my free time and am loving the process. I’d like to do more fantasy shots for some of my regular portrait clients as well so let me know if you’re interested!

Boudoir Marathon

on August 30th and 31st at an uber-posh hotel in Los Angeles. (think all white, large sunny windows). Makeup artist and location is included and the session fee is only $99 for this one event only! There are only a couple of spots left!

Book Your Boudoir Session

1. Make sure you’ve filled out the Information Request here..
2. Pay the Reservation Fee below: $200

The Reservation Fee is your deposit to reserve your session.It’s not an added expense to your session, it simply works like a deposit on your image CD and will be applied in full toward the purchase of your digital collection after the session.  The Reservation Fee is not refundable.  Your session date must be scheduled within 30 days of paying the Reservation Fee, but not necessarily held within that time. If you do not schedule a date, then the Reservation Fee is forfeited.
