Once in awhile you meet someone who will eventually change you for the good - forever. And so I did…her name is Evita Ramparte and she is from Poland, a former television documentary producer and a cancer survivor who credits raw foods and alkaline water for her miraculous recovery. Evita and I met through an online group called Tiger Mamas. I showed her my newborn photography and a friendship was born. A single mother who has survived more than most of us, Evita is a shining beacon of optimism, a light in a very dark time and, I am now proud to say, my dear friend.
Just a few minutes with Evita and her incredible curiosity and wonder are infectious. I am working with Evita to re-brand Tiger Mama and create a blog/website for her to talk about her diet, her discoveries, her passions and her favorite things to empower women, mothers, children and men. I will surely post the link just as soon as we are ready to go live.
In the mean time, Evita and I spent a late winter afternoon at the beach and I took some photos of her and her handsome son.
Please stay posted to learn more about Evita’s whereabouts and adventures. They will keep you mesmerized… as they have me!!

You know the concept….what would you take from your home in case of a fire? Most of us answer, “our photos” (besides our children and pets.)
This year, you can give someone the gift of a customized portrait for their home or a full album of photos of their loved ones.
Whether you give your husband a certificate for a boudoir little black book of boudoir photos or your pregnant friend a gift of pregnancy photography, this is one gift that will be remembered for the rest of their lives.
Gift certificates are offered in any denomination. Just contact us and we’ll get them to you right away!
And don’t forget our Valentine’s Boudoir Special! Gift a certificate for that to your special loved one and you’ll have a gift for Xmas and Valentine’s Day a well!

I have been wanting to update my website for a long time, but the thought of going through all of my new photos and choosing just the right ones left me overwhelmed and unmotivated. But I finally did it! The new website – still at www.nicomoon.com showcases much of the work I’ve been doing in the last year. I hope you visit and enjoy it!
Of particular interest (to me) is the new editorial work. I’ve been experimenting quite a bit in my free time and am loving the process. I’d like to do more fantasy shots for some of my regular portrait clients as well so let me know if you’re interested!
Do you have a dreamy photo of your honeymoon location or the place you first met your sweetheart? Wish you could trek pregnant into the Grand Canyon, but you’re pregnant and can’t bear the thought of a long hike?
I can make your dreams come true? I’ll photograph you in similar lighting to the location you provide (or I provide), then take your photo and the landscape, work hours of wizardry in my digital dark room (not for the faint of heart) and make it look as if you were actually there!
Flying in Coney Island? Check! You always wished you were Alice in Wonderland? Check! Do you kids want to fly like Peter Pan or astronauts? Definitely…..the sky’s not the only limit!

This weekend I went to the beach with my friend, Julie, and her family for some family photos before the new baby arrives. I forget how much I love being right near the water since I live across the street from it and can see it from my window. But the air is so refreshing and comforting.
We had a wonderful time letting Kaitlin run in the water and playing in the sand. Then, afterward, red wine and barbecued artichokes at the Beachcomber Café and I was in heaven. Thank you for such a wonderful late afternoon! I can’t wait to meet the new baby.
Here are some sneak peaks from your session!
